The course has the goal to give participants a complete overview of the current techniques of non-invasive skin imaging, namely dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy, conventional optical coherence tomography (cOCT), line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT), as well as high-frequency and ultra-high frequency ultrasound.
Dermoscopic and histopathological correlations will be also part of the course.
Practicality and interaction will be key characteristics of the course: differential diagnoses, clinical cases, questions, and a continuous stimulation of the audience will be provided from the speakers during their talks. Moreover, at the end of each session, there will be a “test-your-knowledge” survey with a quiz-based competition, during which participants will be able to provide their answers via their smartphones. Also, a live “hands-on-machine” experience with patients will be offered. The course will end with a session dedicated to the participants, during which they will be able to present their own clinical cases for discussion with the faculty.
