The International Dermoscopy Society promotes high-quality, collaborative research among our members. The Studies Committe supports this mission by facilitating and supporting investigations focused on dermoscopy and non-invasive skin imaging that may improve clinical practice and the scientific understanding of skin diseases diagnosis, prognosis and management
Hence, we encourage any IDS member who has an idea of an original, collaborative study that fulfils these aims, to submit the project proposal in order to apply for the support of our community.
All study proposals are evaluated using a standardized workflow that ensures transparency, scientific rigor, and relevance to IDS priorities. Proposals are judged based on criteria including originality, methodological quality, and expected impact on practice.
Accepted studies may benefit from resources such as access to the IDS mailing list, website promotion, and guidance from the Committee, who is ready to help you with:
- – Constructively review of the project proposal, proposing improvements, in order to increase the feasibility, relevance, impact and publication chances
- – Identifying and suggesting collaborators with similar interests and complementary expertise and experience, to increase the chances of project’s success
- – Help with statistics, progress monitoring, advise on project management and publication strategy
We invite IDS members to submit their study proposals using the standardized submission form, and become part of our vibrant and growing research network. By working together, we aim to generate impactful evidence and shape the future of dermoscopy!
